Debris in ports can lead to overheating, a common industry issue affecting all manufacturers, including Tesla. Regularly inspect your plug and charger ports for cleanliness/integrity. If problem persists, discontinue use and contact support.

How do I clean connector and/or adapter ports?

Dirt or debris in connection ports can pose a risk of overheating. Safeguard against this by promptly removing dirt or debris using a compressed air dispenser and electric cleaner, such as Deoxit or WD-40 Specialist Electrical Contact Cleaner.

Does this adapter work with DC charging stations?

NO. This adapter is designed exclusively for AC charging. It is NOT compatible with any DC charging station. Attempting to use it with a DC charging station can result in a fire, resulting in personal injury and/or property damage.

Will this adapter work with non-Tesla vehicles?

NO. This adapter is designed specifically for Tesla vehicles. The LENZ J1772 to Tesla Adapter allows Tesla vehicles to charge at public Level 2 charging station (non-Tesla charging stations), expanding charging options for Tesla owners.

My Tesla is not charging while using the adapter.

Confirm adapter is fully inserted to charging port. Verify the J1772 connector is fully inserted into charging port. Confirm EVSE (charging station) is functioning. Verify Tesla is not performing software update. DO NOT use if ports are damaged.
